Taito Group

– a diverse provider of crafts services

Taito Group is a nationwide organization composed of the Finnish Crafts Organization Taito and regional crafts associations.

The Taito Group’s slogan is Happiness lives in crafts and its purpose is to remind people how important crafts are in many individuals’ everyday lives and how special handmade products are.

Taito Group is an active producer and developer of crafts services and it also promotes the crafts culture as a skill and trade. The organization’s values are creativity, skills, entrepreneurship and sustainable development. Taito Group’s nationwide network includes 18 crafts associations and their more than 100 fixed places of business. The Group is an important employer, providing permanent jobs for approximately 200 crafts experts.

The effects of the Taito Group’s activities are most clearly visible in increased well-being. Every year, the organization provides courses and consulting services for more than 130,000 customers, as well as Basic Education in the Arts for almost 4,000 children and young people. The fairs and exhibitions connected to Taito Group’s activities attract more than a million visitors annually.

The organization receives government funding for its work as a provider of concrete advice on crafts, but approximately two thirds of its financing are funds generated by its own operations.
